What to Do on A{nother} Rainy Day?

A). I could cry. Literally a river. As I watch our garden inundated yet again with torrential downpours. Just for reference: here’s is our otherwise lovely creek. Except right now it is swollen and way outside its banks. Bummer!

IMG_0191B). Or I could curl up with a good book like these two, which I have never finished but really want to finish.

IMG_2398C). Or I could attempt to clean up this pile that mocks me every single time I enter our library.

IMG_1935D). Or I could get some long overdue things printed like my new Alphabet Page Protector Printable Set and my fantastic new TpT and Blogging Planning Binder and actually display these Number Posters that I created awhile ago and sell in my TpT store.

IMG_0216IMG_0221IMG_2390E). Or I could try to finally finish up a new product I’ve been working on which involves a candy theme and fact fluency. Here’s a little sneak peak!

photo 2F). Or I could do all of the above! I have done some of these things today and yesterday as the rains have continued to fall and fall and fall.

Let’s see. How did I do?

A). Well, I didn’t actually cry, but I have been so sad over the state of our gardens. And the rain just has no end in sight.

IMG_0182 IMG_0181It has been raining today since 9 a.m. with only about 90 minutes of clouds mixed with momentary seconds of sunshine. The rest of the day has been heavy downpours after 5 straight days with periods of heavy rain. Did I mention what a mess our chicken pens are with all this rain and how on my 41st birthday I got soaked figuring out a new plan for their feeder, which was inundated with water? Thankfully, the ladies are much more gracious {than me} about all the rain. After all, they LOVE earthworms, which are such easy pickings when it pours.

IMG_0185 IMG_0176B). I haven’t curled up yet with the two books pictured above, but I plan to later this afternoon maybe in the library on the bench seat with the most comfortable cushions ever. After all, this falls on my list of 10 Things I Want to Do This Summer. Check!

IMG_1934C). I did clean up that looming pile along with some help from my friends kids. Do y’all remember that song? Seriously, y’all, the rain is making me CRA-CRA. The pile is most definitely gone, a trash bag was filled, and what remained is in its place … for now. I have some plans once I can get to Wally World and buy a few more tubs and get these lovely math tub labels printed out laminated as I have been printing them as I typed up this post!

photo 2photo 1photo 3D). Oh and did I ever hang up those Number Posters. Y’all I’ve had the document frames since winter when Wally World put them on a half price sale! And they have set in the garage as a haven for the spiders ever since. No more of that! Don’t they look LOVELY?!

IMG_2384IMG_2392I do have them available in my store in two versions: Number Posters 0–20 Snap Block Theme Color and Number Posters 0–20 Snap Block Theme B/W at my TpT store. And I’d like to give away one of each set to two lovely winners! Just comment and let me know which you’d like. The first person to comment can choose and the second can have the other set! Please do make sure your comment has a valid email, which no one but me will see, and I’ll send. 🙂

And because the rain is making me CRA-CRA, why not—I am going to give away one set of my new Alphabet Page Protector Printable Pack as well. Just be the first to comment and let me know you’d like it!

IMG_0205IMG_0207E). I am still working on the product, but it is going to be yummy! Pun totally intended. Here’s a{nother} sneak peek!

photo 1photo 3F). I can’t check off ALL of the ABOVE just yet, but I plan to very soon, if the rain keeps up!

How about you? Is rain keeping you busy in ways you didn’t plan or are you wishing for a rainy day to get things done that loom over you as you pass them by? Please do share!

The Alphabet Page protector pack looks perfect & something my niece could use for her 3 year old & 17 month old. She is considering homeschooling but currently has depended alot of the ‘electronics’. Something like this would be fun, colorful and easy to use anywhere-while keeping electronic use to a minimum at this age.

Pam, I have emailed the Alphabet pack your way! I hope your niece finds it useful with her little ones. I think her 3YO especially will like it. My 4YO likes using the cards a lot, and she enjoys playing the game with me. They are very easy to take along. I just store all of mine in the gallon-size ziploc bags! 🙂 Leslie

I do love the number posters. They would look great in any classroom. Having just graduated with my el ed certification in December, I am praying I get a full time teaching position for fall.

The number posters are very well done! Lots of great ways for the students to see the number. They would be a great addition for our beginning learners.
